Prambanan Temple

Beside Borobudur as Buddha temple, Indonesia is also have Hindu temple that is Prambanan temple. This temple also interasting as Borobudur temple. Prambanan temple is one of inheritance sites of UNESCO and one of the most beautiful temple in South East of Asia. One week ago, exactly Desember, 25^th 2013 i have an oppurtunity to visit this temple with my friend Fefri.

The location of Prambanan temple is in border of Yogyakarta province and Central Java Province, exactly in Prambanan subdistrict, Sleman Yogyakarta and Prambanan subdistrict, Klaten Central Java. Its was about 30 minutes driver from Yogyakarta.

Same with Borobudur, to enter the area of Prambanan temple you also wear Batik Fabric. Don’t worry, the official have prepare many batik fabric for you. It is sign if Batik is tradisional art original from Indonesia.

The biggest temple of Prambanan (Andam, 2013)

The other name of Prambanan temple is Rara Jonggrang temple. I was excited when saw this temple. Wow its very great. The temple is very big and high. The environment around it is also beautiful, the green grass, and many flowers. Arsitecture of this temple is slender and high. The biggest temple is about 47 meter, in the midle around the other temple. The other temple is smaller. Prambanan temple is built up by Rakai Pikatan, the Raja of Mataran Kingdom. He have built this temple from stone as equal Borobudur temple. One different among Prambanan temple (Hindu temple) and Borobudur (Buddha temple) that is Prambanan have space aboard the temple but the Borobudur doesn’t have.
